About Us
Arauca Environmental restores Sydney’s ecosystems, weaving science, soul, and community to repair depleted environments. Our mission is to revive nature with innovative, collaborative restoration, inspired by the timeless wisdom of the earth.

Roots
Founded by Felipe Donoso, Arauca draws its name and inspiration from Chile’s ancient Araucaria araucana forests that have thrived for over 200 million years. These ecosystems, vibrant with life and the strength of resilience, are the basis of our commitment to ecological restoration in Sydney. Applying science and social ecology, we see land, people, and spirit as one—restoring nature- restoring community.

Expertise

With over a decade of experience, our team has delivered successful restoration projects across the full range of Sydney’s vegetation communities — from Cumberland Plain Woodlands and Shale Sandstone Transition Forests to riparian zones and large scale revegetation projects.
Beyond conventional bush regeneration and revegetation, Arauca has built a strong reputation for applying fire ecology principles to various sites. Our carefully planned pre- and post-fire management programs have consistently delivered excellent outcomes: effective weed suppression combined with vigorous regeneration and increased diversity of native flora.
We also provide specialist consultation services, including the preparation of vegetation management plans, weed management plans, flora and fauna surveys, and fire management strategies.

Commitment
Arauca Environmental, is committed to transforming sites into thriving ecosystems, by the application of best practice approaches, innovation, technology and science. Our projects won’t just strengthen biodiversity but also community ties and connections. We’re driven to shape a greener, more resilient future, guided by nature’s enduring lessons.
